Craig Brent

Practicing law in Franklin, TN, since 1988 has given Mr. Brent extensive knowledge in a wide array of civil legal cases. With a primary focus as a trial lawyer, he has exceptional court experience, including bench trials, jury trials, and appeals.

Before private practice, Mr. Brent’s background includes employment with the Tennessee Supreme Court and working for Frank Clement at the Firm of Clement, Gibson, Mossman, and Pate. Mr. Brent has always enjoyed the law and feels blessed to help others with their legal matters. His caseload primarily consists of Divorce, Family Law, and Post-Divorce matters. He also represents clients in matters involving Personal Injury, Premises Liability, contested Probate matters, Contracts, Construction, Real Estate, and Landlord-Tenant issues.

Being a Certified Rule 31 Family Law Mediator has provided Mr. Brent with extensive experience working towards amicable resolutions with other attorneys and their clients, avoiding the uncertainty of court and the time and expense of a trial. Mr. Brent handles cases in Williamson, Davidson, Maury, Dickson, Rutherford, Sumner, and Wilson Counties. He has appeared numerous times before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and is also admitted to practice in the Middle District of the United States Federal District Court of Tennessee.

Mr. Brent was born and raised in Franklin. He has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. With family ties to the town for over 125 years, Franklin is home and always will be.

Karen Grochau

Ms. Grochau graduated cum laude from the University of Memphis in 1989 with a B.B.A. in Finance and in 1992 she received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.

She practiced labor and employment law in Memphis, where she conducted supervisor training and was a frequent speaker on employment relations issues until 2004 when she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and became a stay-at-home mom to her three young children.

She moved to Nashville in 2016, returning to work in 2017 and reactivating her law license in 2018.

Ms. Grochau currently focuses primarily on family law including divorce, alimony, child custody and support, post-divorce modification, prenuptial agreements, probate, guardianships, and conservatorships in Williamson, Davidson, Rutherford, Maury and Lincoln counties. She is admitted to practice before the state courts of Tennessee, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
